POSITION: Utility Maintenance Worker II
The City of Sedgwick, Kansas, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Utility Maintenance Worker II, under direction of the City Superintendent and/or City Administrator. May be assigned to supervise others on specific projects.
Sedgwick is a 3rd class city with a population of approximately 1,700 people located about 20 minutes north of Wichita and straddles the Sedgwick and Harvey county border.
TYPE: The Utility Maintenance Worker II is a full-time position.
SALARY: Starting hourly wage is dependent upon experience and qualifications. Benefits include vacation and sick leave, holiday pay, KPERS retirement, generous health insurance, dental vision, and a cell phone stipend plus on-call compensation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred qualifications include: High school education or equivalent, valid driver’s license, KDHE Class II Wastewater Certification, a Commercial Class B CDL with air brake endorsement, and general mechanical aptitude.
