The Belle Plaine Police Department is accepting applications for a full-time Police Officer. Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements: 21 Years of age, US Citizen, High School Diploma/GED equivalent, Valid Kansas Driver's License, no Felony or serious Misdemeanor arrests, and be of good moral character. Must be able to pass a written examination, oral interview, physical examination/ drug screen, and an extensive background check.

Starting pay for no experience/ non-certified Officer is $15.00 per hour, with pay raise after KSCPOST certification. Certified Officers pay dependent on qualifications.
Work Schedule consists of 7- 12 hour shifts (84 hours) per two week pay period.
Prior Law Enforcement certification is preferred, but not required.
